This 4-CD set brings together the songs of European birds, captured and recorded by audionaturalist Jean C. Roché, which are the closest to human monophonic music, right up to contemporary classical music. These songs reflect an incredible variety of melodies, rhythms, and timbres, which, like primate proto-languages, can be considered human proto-music. An interview CD, produced by Bernard Fort, founder of the GMVL, completes this collection. On it, we hear Jean C. Roché discuss his fascinating discussions and reflections with composer Olivier Messiaen on the music of birds.

Ce coffret 4 CD réunit les chants d’oiseaux d’Europe captés et enregistrés par l’audionaturaliste Jean C.
